1. Sponsor
The Weekly Crossing Challenge (“Contest”) is sponsored and administered by LaLínea (“LaLínea”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Apple, Google, Amazon, or Meta.
2. Contest Period
The Contest begins on May 25, 2026 at 12:00 AM Pacific Time and ends on May 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
Only crossings completed during this period will count toward the Contest.
3. Eligibility
Participants must:
Have a valid LaLínea account
Be at least 18 years old
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Use the app in a safe and lawful manner
Employees, contractors, or individuals directly involved in operating the Contest may be excluded from participation.
Void where prohibited by law.
4. How to Participate
To participate, users must complete valid border crossing sessions using the LaLínea app during the Contest period.
The participant with the highest number of valid completed crossings during the Contest period will be declared the winner.
A crossing counts toward the Contest only after it has been successfully completed and recorded by LaLínea during the Contest period.
Crossings that are still active, incomplete, abandoned, invalid, or recorded after the Contest period ends will not count toward the Contest.
Examples:
✅ Counts:
- A crossing started on May 31 at 11:50 PM and successfully completed on May 31 at 11:58 PM.
- A crossing started on May 30 and successfully completed on May 31 during the Contest period.
❌ Does NOT count:
- A crossing started on May 31 at 11:50 PM but completed after the Contest period ended.
- A crossing that was abandoned, manually cancelled, invalidated, or not successfully recorded by LaLínea.
- Fake, duplicate, spoofed, or suspicious crossings.
No purchase is necessary to participate.
5. Prize
The winner will receive an Amazon gift card valued at $50 USD or the equivalent Amazon gift card available in the winner’s country or region.
The prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
LaLínea reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes or reporting obligations related to the prize.
6. Tie Policy
If multiple participants finish tied for first place, the prize value will be divided equally among all tied first-place participants.
Example:
If two users tie for first place, each participant would receive a $25 gift card.
7. Fair Play & Anti-Cheat Policy
Participants must compete fairly.
The following may result in immediate disqualification from the Contest and possible account restrictions:
Fake or falsified crossings
GPS spoofing or manipulated location data
Multiple accounts used by the same individual
Automated activity or abuse of the system
Exploiting bugs, loopholes, or unintended behavior
Any activity deemed suspicious or fraudulent by LaLínea
LaLínea reserves the right to investigate suspicious activity and make final decisions regarding eligibility and disqualification.
All decisions made by LaLínea are final.
8. Safety
Do not use the app while driving.
Participants are responsible for following all traffic laws and using the app safely and responsibly.
LaLínea is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages related to participation in the Contest.
9. Winner Notification
The winner(s) will be contacted through the email address or account associated with their LaLínea profile within 7 days after the Contest ends.
If a winner does not respond within a reasonable timeframe, LaLínea may select another eligible winner.
10. Privacy
Participation in the Contest is subject to the LaLínea Privacy Policy.
By participating, users agree that LaLínea may use leaderboard usernames, profile names, or public rankings for Contest-related announcements or promotional purposes.
Sensitive personal information will not be publicly shared without consent.
11. Changes or Cancellation
LaLínea reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest at any time due to technical issues, fraud, abuse, legal concerns, or other circumstances beyond our control.
LaLínea is not responsible for interruptions, delays, GPS inaccuracies, connectivity issues, server outages, or technical failures that may affect crossing tracking or leaderboard updates.
12. Acceptance of Rules
By participating in the Contest, participants agree to these Rules & Terms and to all decisions made by LaLínea regarding the Contest.
13. Missing Crossings / Leaderboard Issues
If you believe a valid crossing was not counted on the leaderboard, please contact us and include the following information:
Username and email associated with your La Línea account
Approximate crossing and lane used
Approximate start date and time
Approximate crossing duration
Approximate crossing completion time
We will do our best to investigate and work with you.
However, if we are unable to find a valid record of the crossing in our systems, we may not be able to count the crossing toward the Contest.
La Línea reserves the right to make final decisions regarding crossing validity and leaderboard eligibility.
